Spectrum North West is an organisation of clinicians based in north west of England and currently practising both independently and in the NHS. Together, we offer a multi-disciplinary approach to the assessment of adults and children for Autistic Spectrum Disorder.
As experienced clinicians, we recognise that it’s not always easy to access a timely response to concerns about being on the autistic spectrum, which can can lead to anxiety and stress for everybody concerned. Here at Spectrum North West, we can offer an immediate comprehensive assessment using our individual clinical skills as well as recognised formal assessments for Autistic Spectrum Disorder.
Our clinicians are drawn from the fields of clinical psychology and speech and language therapy and are trained and experienced in the diagnosis of autism. With this in mind, you can rest assured that you will receive a multi-disciplinary approach to assessment, as recommended by NICE guidelines. Our clinicians are registered with their relevant professional bodies as well as the Health Care Professions Council (HCPC), which means you are able to verify their credentials online for peace of mind.
And because our clinicians are also employed by the NHS, you can be assured that their registration and qualifications have been verified by their employer and that they have been subject to an enhanced CRB check. It also tells you that they are up-to-date on local health issues and committed to maintaining their own continuing education.
Our service is bespoke – we offer a variety of assessment options according to your needs and your budget. We also offer discussion and formal reports, as well as recommendations for further intervention and signposting to additional help and support where required. Our assessment may not always recommend a diagnosis of autism, but it will certainly provide a clinical picture of the individual’s strengths, difficulties and any areas of need.
